Swimming at the creek

One hot and sunny day,  Sonny, Tim, my brother Ihaka, Te Kaha and me went for a nice cold swim at the creek.

As we were on our way to the creek  I was on my bike doing drifts on the dusty road trying to pop my tyre. A few minutes later we arrived at swimming hole I was the first to jump off the bank.  First I did a pin then my second time jumping off I did a coffin. Then we all started to swim over to the other side to do some manu’s whoopes and griller off a little brunch. I was the only one doing grillers off high. One hour later we all decided to jump out the high tree. I was doing a coffen out of that tree. Suddenly Te kaha told me to go under water so I listen to pop it was loud like a boom box trying to get blown and there up the loudest they can go. 20 minutes later it time to go. We all had a race back to my house even that i was on my bike second so basically Ihaka won.

Rippa Rugby in Hikurangi

On Tuesday our Tautoro team went to Hikurangi for our semi finals in rippa rugby. On our last game we versed Kamo 3. As the horn went for us to start our game we all were fired and ready to win. Hands ready, ready to rip. The whistle blew Konrad passed the ball to Kohuroa she ran about 13 metres and she thought that she got ripped but she didn’t. We all were yelling at her saying “GO GO YOU AIN'T RIPPED. GO FOR THE TRY KOHUROA.” Five minutes later she got ripped at the five line.

As the girls started off with the ball they got us plenty of ground. Then the time came for us boys to have a run. The pass came from Kura to Arama and then out to Konrad, onto Letisha. She ran forward and dived for the try, scoring the last winning try for our game.

As the boy in Kamo got the ball and ran through our whole team. I quickly saw Arama over take me to save the try. Arama accidentally pulled his pants down because he was trying to go for his tags but he ended up pulling his pants down and we all started to crack up. It was totally funny.

After us scoring the last try I was over the moon I couldn’t believe that we won the Semis for Rippa Rugby.  We’re off to Toll Stadium to play the finals in front of thousands of people.

This is my first draft writing about sponge cake

Whipping the egg white

Last week Friday  us year sevens and eights we traveled into room 1 so we can make a sponge cake  we were in groups the first  thing we had to do was to crack the four eggs and separate the egg white and the egg yolk.

Although we were in a group we were getting timed 1 minute each to do whisking and Alice spilt the egg yolk into the egg white and my team was yelling at her because she spilt the egg yolk and we got a growling from Whaea Meri. A few minutes later we went to go ask Whaea Meri if the egg white was ready so we can add in the egg yolk no you need to use kaha and whisk it some more until it is nice and fluffy like a fluffy warm tiger.

1 hour later we finally put the cake in the oven wonder what it taste like.

25 minutes later the sponge cake cook it smelt beautiful and it was lovely.

Simply Coding

My Learning Journal - Simply Coding.

The most important thing I learned about coding was...

how to set it up building towers and use the different blocks to add onto my setting. It was easy to add the coding blocks, but it was pretty hard trying to set it up.

It could make you become a genius to make a computer games and play the games.

It was hard at first and then once I got to do it, it was amazing. I was able to create a scenario to get my guy to kill the monster.  

I need help with…setting up the storyline just like I did with the animations storyboard.

I think it was fantastic learning to code and make a storyline using the characters I created.
